The Gallant 15K : The committee would sincerely like to thank everyone who took part, helped out or contributed in any way to the challenge which took place on Saturday 27th October 2011 from Cavan to Cornafean in aid of St.Christopher's Hospice Cavan. You support is much appreciated and without your help would not happen. The Gallant 15K Challenge would also like to thank the main sponsor John MacManus Pharmacies for his very generous contribution towards the challenge. The Committee would also like to thank all the local people and businesses for their kind support also. The Gallant 15K Challenge 2011 was again a very successful event raising €24000. Over the past eight years the Gallant 15Km Challenge has been an outstanding success raising over €236,000 in aid of St.Christophers Hospice Cavan which is testament to the kindness and generosity of people which year after year never fail so thanks again to everyone and look forward to your kind support in October 2012.

GAA Gaeltacht Scholarships: Anyone wishing to avail of GAA Gaeltacht Scholarships to Donegal in July is asked to attend for interview on Saturday 5th May at 9 am in the following venues; Ballyconnell National School, St Clare's, Cavan or St Anne's, Bailieborough. If you cannot attend at this time you may attend St Clare's, Cavan on Monday 7th May at 7pm.

Lotto : There was no winner of this weeks lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 3,12,14 and 24. The €40 winners were Oliver Gormley, Cormore; FergusCostello, Corduff; Tony & Rose Comiskey, Drumgoon; The Duignan Trio, Shancor. Next weeks jackpot is €1200.
