Crosserlough outscore Denn

In what could be described as ideal conditions for football, Denn took on Crosserlough in St. Matthews Park Crosskeys. The game got off to a good start for Crosserlough with a point in the opening minutes. However Dean Hyland responded with two points for Denn. Both times fought hard and it was evident that there was a lot at stake in this local Derby.
Crosserlough moved on to have 4 points from a combination of Enda Gaffney and Barry Mc Kiernan. Denn struggled and had numerous wides however Denns Pauric Mc Governs scored a fine point in the 21st minute. This was followed by two fine goal chances for Denn although luck was not on their side. Dara Mc Veety scored a fine point for Crosserlough and their scoring continued as they found the net in the closing minutes of the first half leaving the half time score 1-6 to 0-3.
Denn dominated the opening of the second half with points from Pauric Mc Govern and Colin Kiernan. Although Crosserlough never really lost control of the situation and Enda Gaffney dominated play with a fine point. This was followed by a goal for Crosserlough. Denn responded with a point but it was Crosserloughs day with points from Damien Lynch and Enda Gaffney to secure their comprehensive win and the game ended with a scoreline of 2-10 to 0-7. Crosserlough were more dominant all throughout the game. A fine performance from Enda Gaffney and Dara Mc Veety sealed their win over their near neighbours.

The Junior game was a more even affair with both teams fighting hard. It was 4 points each at half time although Crosserlough came out in the second half the more dominant. Denn scored some fine points with Cian Mc Cann scoring 4 fine points in the second half, However it wasn't enough as Crosserlough found the net to give them a comfortable win leaving the game ending 1-9 to 0-8 in favour of Crosserlough.
