Johnny McEvoy : The Legend of Irish Folk Music Johnny McEvoy is set to appear in Concert in the Breffni Arms Hotel Arvagh on Friday the 24h September 2010. Cornafean Active Age : There is a trip organised to Donegal from the 24th to 26th of September. The trip includes a tour of the Inishowen Peninsula and the group will be staying at the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny. The cost of the trip is €169 per person . Dog Show : There will be a Dog show in Aid of Self Help in Cornafean Football field on Sunday 29th August at 3pm. There will be various activities and games on the day so all welcome.
Kevin Kealy : Sympathy is extended to Mrs.Geraldine Doyle following the death of her brother in law Kevin Kealy recently following a short illness. May he rest in peace.
GAA : Cornafean suffered another defeat in the championship this time to Shannon Gales last Friday evening. In the first half the Reds kept up with the scores even at three points each. Both sides missed various opportunities. However in the second half Shannon Gales pushed ahead winning on a score line of 1-12 to 0-06. Best on the day were Adrian McCaffrey, Tommy Duffy and Padraig Tully.
There will be a monthly meeting in the Sports Hall on Wednesday 11th August at 9pm.
Lotto : There was no winner of this weeks jackpot. The numbers drawn were 8, 9, 16 and 23. The €40 winners were Brendan McDermott, Killeshandra; Gay Cadden, The Well Bar; Tommy Swarbrigg, Killeshandra; Pat & Angela Geoghan, Drumkeeran and Tony Gormley , Gowna.
