Monthly meeting

Monthly meeting on Wednesday evening at 8:30pm in the clubrooms. Lots to work to do over the next few weeks so ideas and help will be much appreciated. Everybody welcome.

 

Senior

Hard luck to our senior team who were defeated by Eoghan Rua of Derry in the Ulster club championship quarter-final on Sunday afternoon last in Kingscourt. The lads, reduced to 14 men after David Wright picked up a harsh second yellow card, battled valiantly in the second half to score five unanswered points and come within a point of their opposition. However, Eoghan Rua finished out the game stronger, emerging six point winners. Thank you to the Kingscourt Stars club for hosting the game in their excellent facilities. Thank you to our players and management team for all their hard work and commitment throughout an unforgettable year for our club and community. 

 

Reserve

Our reserve team will contest the semi-final of the Division 1 championship v Cavan Gaels. Fixture to be confirmed.

 

U20

Our U20 team commence their Division 3 championship campaign when we host Kingscourt Stars in Ballyjamesduff on Sunday next at 1pm. We have also been drawn against Cuchulainns in round 1 - that fixture was deferred on account of our involvement in the Ulster club championship but will be played in the coming weeks.

 

U13

Our U13 team were unfortunately defeated in the semi-final of the Division 3 championship on Saturday afternoon last on the 3G pitch at Kingspan Breffni by a stronger Butlersbridge side. The lads started well and led by three points at half time but were playing into a strong wind in the second half. Thank you to the players and their coaches for their time, effort and commitment throughout the course of the year, playing in two different divisions across league and championship.
