Carlow have named Turlough O'Brien and Pat English as managers of their senior football and hurling teams respectively.
O'Brien succeeds Anthony Rainbow, who stepped down during the summer after two years at the helm. The Éire Óg clubman, who previously managed the Barrowsiders at both minor and U21 levels, worked alongside Rainbow as coach this year.
And Ballinakill clubman English has succeeded John Meyler as Carlow hurling manager, having overseen the county's U21s for the last two years.
To bolster both backroom teams, Carlow have brought in two vastly-experienced men in advisory capacities: Cork legend John Allen will assist English while another former All-Ireland winning manager, John O'Mahony, will act as an advisor to O'Brien.
