Carlow club suspend player

May 08, 2013
The O'Hanrahan's club in Carlow have taken the unusual step of suspending one of their players.

Usually, it is left to the Competitions Control Committee within each county to hand out suspensions, but O'Hanrahan's have reacted swiftly following an incident that occurred during a football league division 1 clash last week.

O'Hanrahan's were playing Naomh Eoin in Myshall when it is believed that one of their players had an altercation with an official.

The player in question, Kiev Byrne is set to be handed a 96-week suspension by the CCC, but the club have punished the player before the official suspension is imposed.
