Ryan resigns
July 24, 2012
Former Carlow hurling manager Kevin Ryan
Kevin Ryan has left his post as Carlow senior hurling manager.
It is reported that the Barrowsiders' boss has quit by mutual consent with the County Board.
Ryan enjoyed a successful Spring as he led Carlow to promotion to Division 1B of the national hurling league, where they will rub shoulders with the likes of Wexford, Offaly, Limerick and Dublin next year.
He took charge of the team in 2008 and made an instant impact by masterminding successive Christy Ring Cup successes.
But Carlow lost both their 2012 championship outings, against Laois and Wexford.
