Longford are through to a Leinster JFC semi-final meeting with holders Kildare after overcoming Carlow this evening.
Padraic Davis' charges prevailed on a scoreline of 0-13 to 1-3 at a windy Pearse Park, where the visitors failed to register a score in the first half.
Longford held a 0-7 to 0-0 interval cushion before Colm Hulton opened Carlow's account on the resumption.
'Underdog' Nigel Rabbitte (0-4f) and Joe O'Brien (0-5, 1f) shared nine points between them while Conor Reynolds netted a consolation goal for Carlow late on.
The winners can now look forward to a last four date against the Lilywhites which is scheduled for Newbridge next Wednesday, 5 June.
