Carlow's Brendan Murphy may have set an unusual record by wearing three different jerseys against Westmeath at TEG Cusack Park today.

The Rathvilly man, as per programme, wore the number eight jersey in the first half before resuming for the second half with number 13 on his back. But because the number 13 jersey was due to be worn by All-Star nominee Paul Broderick, who was a late withdrawal from the Carlow line-up, Murphy was ordered by the fourth official to change into the number 27 jersey, which hadn't been allotted to another player.

Despite all the jersey changes, the big midfielder popped up with a 53rd minute goal as Carlow came away from Mullingar with a share of the spoils.
