Eire Og manager Joe Murphy was left speechless by his side’s poor showing in the Leinster club SFC semi-final defeat to Longford’s Mullinalaghta last Sunday.

The Carlow champions were completely outplayed and finished the game with just 12 players after Ross Dunphy, Robbie Moore and Christopher Blake were all sent off.

Murphy didn’t attempt to make any excuses for the performance when speaking about the game to the Carlow Nationalist.

“It is a really difficult place to be. Very hard to take. A lot more questions than answers. I don’t quite know what happened to us,” stated Murphy.

“We started off pretty well and then, I don’t know, the energy seemed to go out of us. Discipline went out the door. It seemed to all come very quickly. And yeah it was a difficult afternoon.”
