Tony O'Donovan

Galway camogie manager Tony O'Donovan has stepped down from his post after just four months in charge.

It comes after a vote of no confidence in management was passed by the players and relayed to the county board executive.

The Tribeswomen reached the Allianz League semi-final against Kilkenny earlier this month but were defeated by defending champions Kilkenny.

It is understood that O'Donovan will now take up a new role as the camogie coaching officer in the county.
