Tyrone's McMahon ruled out of league

February 13, 2008
Defender Joe McMahon will play no part in the remainder of Tyrone's 2008 national football league campaign. The injury-plagued full back has just undergone a groin operation. The news comes as a big blow to manager Mickey Harte as the Omagh man can also play in midfield - a potential problem area for the overstretched O'Neill County at present. With Brian Dooher also set to miss the whole league programme and Brian McGuigan likely to play the last three rounds only at best, these are frustrating times for the Ulster county. All Stars Sean Cavanagh and Ryan McMenamin are also out of Saturday night's Tralee clash with Kerry.
