Cathal Casey has been replaced as a Cork senior hurling selector for next season by John Mortell after the former opted out at the conclusion of last season. Mortell is well known in the Avondhu division due to his long-standing involvement with the Ballyhea club and has been a Cork minor hurling selector for the past two seasons. The decision to assume the power for selector appointment in Cork won't affect the hurlers until the end of next year. Tweet
