Farrell admits strike action is being considered

Gaelic Players Association chief executive Dessie Farrell says strike action is one of the options being considered by his association's members as the impasse over the distribution of players' grants continues.
Farrell says strike action has been discussed as an option at all three provincial meetings held among members in Ulster, Leinster and Munster.
"It has been a common theme. The prospect of strike action has been discussed," said Farrell. "This is coming from the players themselves and feelings are high as we predicted."
The meeting of GPA members in Connacht is due to be held on Monday next.
