Following their Christy Ring Cup final win over Kildare (2-15 to 0-13), the hurlers of Westmeath will be given the chance to pit their skills against Leinster's finest next year. Westmeath's application to play in the 2008 Leinster SHC campaign has been approved and they will also get the chance to defend their Christy Ring Cup title as well.
