O'Hara looks back on misses with regret

Eamon O'Hara
Sligo's Eamonn O'Hara couldn't hide his disappointment after his side's loss to Galway, particularly when he recalled the chances that the Yeats County failed to take. Sligo were a battered and bruised side during the first half of this Connacht quarter-final but yet had they taken the two fine goal opportunities that came their way then an eight point deficit could easily have become a manageable two point difference. That added to some poor free taking stuck in the mind of former All Star O'Hara after the game. "We missed some easy frees, myself included," lamented O'Hara. "You cannot afford that against a side like Galway. The misses came back to haunt us particularly after we had got back into the game. We came into the game confident of achieving a result, but we missed some great opportunities."
