Sligo to miss O'Hara

December 20, 2005

Eamon O'Hara
Sligo footballers have received a blow ahead of their FBD and NFL campaigns with the news that veteran Eamonn O'Hara has been ruled out of action for the next couple of months. O'Hara is likely to be missing from action until possibly eary April as he continues his recovery from a cruciate knee operation. The Tourlestrane clubman had a nightmarish 2005 due to injury and only managed to play two full games in the championship, against Leitrim and Longford. "I'd say I won't be back until around March or April, anything earlier that that would be a bonus," O'Hara admitted. "But it's difficult to know with this injury when you'd be ready - it's kind of like asking how long is a piece of string? "It has been very frustrating with all the injuries and you do get fed up with them, but all I can do is try to stay positive and look ahead to March or April. "Hopefully when I do get back I should be fresh and look forward to fighting for a place on the team for the championship."
