Leahy favoured for county role

John Leahy
Former fans favourite John Leahy is being lined up to act in the role of senior county selector ahead of the expected announcement of a new Premier County hurling boss in the coming weeks.
The Mullinahone clubman is still hugely popular in Tipp and a possible link-up with former county supremo Michael 'Babs' Keating would be seen by a lot of supporters as a dream ticket.
Although Keating has yet to be approached by county bosses, it is strongly believed that he may even be invited to succeed Ken Hogan in the hot seat as early as next week with Leahy coming on board too.
