Tipp star on the move

Tipperary hurler Paul Kelly has put in for a transfer request to move to Borrisoleigh after the wingback fell out with his native club Mullinahone. The All-Ireland medal winner has been in dispute with Mullinahone for some time now over the methods of training that they have implemented and the wingback has already signed forms for the move. It is doubtful that Mullinahone will let Kelly leave without trying to rectify the situation but the club could have been in a far serious predicament if Kelly's better-known brother Eoin had joined Limerick side Ahane. But those rumours were laid to rest last week by the club. The Tipp side have already lost former Kilkenny captain Denis Byrne who has returned to his native county.
