Belief is key for Clarke and Armagh

Armagh sharpshooter Jamie Clarke is enjoying life back in the gaelic football big time.

The Orchard County have built up a head of steam ahead of their last eight clash with Ulster neighbours Tyrone and the Crossmaglen clubman - who was the star of last weekend's win over Kildare - believes they can go one step further, at least.

"We've had three tight wins on the trot now - Westmeath, Tipperary and Kildare. Those wins do wonders for a team," he pointed out to The Irish Daily Sun.

"But I always felt we were capable of this.

"We really believe in ourselves now and we think that we have a quality team that should be pushing for major honours.

"The league was frustrating in that we missed out on promotion to Division 2 in the last minute of the last day of the season and then we lost to Down in the Ulster Championship.

"Morale took a bit of a hit but we rallied.

"We all believe in each other and that's why we are in an All-Ireland quarter-final - but we don't want it to stop there."
