Galway captain David Burke believes that if they can cut out the supply to a potent Tipperary forward line then they will go a long way to winning Sunday's All-Ireland SHC semi-final clash.

The sides have met at this stage of the championship for the past two years and its one apiece with both sides clocking up impressive scorelines in each of the matches.

Burke told the Connacht Tribune that nullifying the threat of the likes of John McGrath and Seamus Callanan can be the catalyst for the Tribesmen to go and win the match.

"I think if you look at what they have scored against us the last couple of years, they hit us for 2-19 last year and 3-16 the year before. They have a serious forward unit," said Burke.

He added: "Obviously they are big on scoring long range points as well when they do come up against tight backs but, look, it just comes down to work-rate around the middle third.

"Our half forward line, the two of us at midfield and our half back line, if we are winning enough ball out there, we can cut down the supply to their good forwards and that number should then come down."
