Armagh selector Paddy McKeever says they'll need to up their game considerably to conquer Tyrone in the two rivals' All-Ireland SFC quarter-final clash this Saturday at Croke Park.

The Orchard men stunned Kildare last weekend with a splendid shooting display at headquarters which helped them score a 1-17 to 0-17 win over the Lilywhites, but McKeever says they'll need much more from their defence if they are to contain the Ulster champions' "huge scoring threat".

"When you look at the way Ronan O'Neill came on the last day and scored two goals within a short while and then the way Declan McClure bolstered the midfield, you see that Tyrone have real quality," McKeever told the Belfast Telegraph.

"We know what's ahead of us and it's important that we apply pressure relentlessly.

"This calls for a lot of hard work indeed but I think we can deliver on this. I think it is vital that we do so in this particular game."
