Peter Harte isn't surprised to be facing Down in Sunday's Ulster SFC final.

The Mourne County shocked Monaghan in the semi-final, but the Tyrone half back insisted in the Irish News: "Down have the talent there, they have shown that this season and it's no surprise to see them in the final.

"They always have great players and I'm just looking forward to a game between two good sides who will give it everything."

The Errigal Ciaran clubman, who is preparing for his third Ulster final, isn't worried about the fact that Tyrone weren't tested by either Derry or Donegal in the quarter-final and semi-final.

"We did get plenty of tough tests in the National League," he noted.

"That's the good thing about being in Division 1, you get seriously tested throughout it. It's just seven or eight weeks in-a-row of big, big tests.

"I know we ended up with comfortable enough victories in the two games, but I don't think either felt like that. That's the thing about championship - in a moment it can all turn around."
