The Cork SHC third round clash between Glen Rovers and CIT will be the first game to be played at the redeveloped Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
The low-key reopening will afford officials the opportunity to iron out any teething problem that may arise ahead of two potential All-Ireland SHC quarter-finals at the venue on the weekend after next. Health and safety officers are currently assessing the new stadium before making a decision on whether it can host the Waterford v Wexford and Tipperary v Clare hurling ties.
