Wing-forward Jake Dillon is Waterford's only change for Saturday's All-Ireland SHC Qualifier clash against Kilkenny in Thurles.

The De La Salle clubman has been recalled ahead of Maurice Shanahan as the Deise look to beat the Cats in the championship for the first time since their 1959 All-Ireland final triumph.

Derek McGrath's side named for this weekend's Semple Stadium encounter shows fourteen survivors from the one that started last year's All-Ireland semi-final replay loss to the Cats at the same venue.

Stephen Bennett, who returns from suspension, having missed the 24-point route of Offaly after being handed a one-match ban for an incident during the Munster semi-final defeat to Cork, is the only absentee.

Waterford (All-Ireland SHC v Kilkenny): Stephen O'Keeffe; Shane Fives, Barry Coughlan, Noel Connors; Tadhg de Burca, Austin Gleeson, Philip Mahony; Jamie Barron, Conor Gleeson; Kevin Moran, Pauric Mahony, Jake Dillon; Shane Bennett, Michael Walsh, Darragh Fives.
