Kelly and McNamee scoop Offaly awards

Gary Kelly and Niall McNamee have been named as the Offaly senior hurler and footballer of the year respectively.

Kelly is honoured after starring in St Rynagh's first Offaly SHC success in 23 years, while long-serving county star McNamee was once again to the fore as Rhode regained the Dowling Cup.

Faithful County legends Joachim Kelly (Lusmagh) and Fr Nicholas Clavin (St Carthage's) will be inducted into the Offaly Hurling and Football Hall of Fame at the annual awards night in the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore on January 13 next.

Senior: Gary Kelly (St Rynagh's)

Intermediate: Liam Langton (Clodiagh Gaels)

Junior Hurling: Michael Monaghan (Clodiagh Gaels)

U21 Hurling: Conor Doughan (Shinrone)

Minor Hurling: Sean Duignan (Ballinamere/Durrow)

Camogie: Michaela Morkan (Shinrone)

Referee: Brian Gavin (Clara)
