On a hugely emotional day for Munster Rugby, it was entirely fitting that one of their former players, Niall Ronan, dedicated his Meath IFC triumph with St. Colmcille's to the late Anthony Foley.
Ronan, who played alongside and under 'Axel', lined out at full forward for the seasiders in their 1-12 to 1-6 replay win over Dunderry at Pairc Tailteann. Afterwards, he posted a picture of himself on Twitter with the Mattie McDonnell Cup and the Munster flag.

St. Colmcille's success was all the more noteworthy as it was achieved without their county star Graham Reilly, who was suspended after receiving a red card in the early stages of the drawn encounter.
