St Mullins 2-16
Mount Leinster Rangers 0-13

St Mullins celebrated a third Carlow SHC victory in a row at Mount Leinster Rangers' expense in Netwatch Cullen Park yesterday.

Marty Kavanagh and Seamus Murphy were their goal scoring heroes.

Kavanagh's first-half effort gave his side a narrow 1-6 to 0-8 advantage at the halfway stage and Murphy's green flag saw them pull away in the closing stages.

MLR's cause wasn't helped by the fact that they lost two players - full-back Brian Nolan and left full-back Garry Kelly - to second yellow cards in the 39th and 55th minutes respectively.

St Mullins finished with 14 men after left corner-back Gary Bennett was shown a straight red card with eight minutes of the regulation 60 still to play.

Right corner-forward Kavanagh finished as top scorer with 1-10 to his credit
