Holders Thurles Sarsfields safely negotiated the challenge of Clonoulty-Rossmore - 1-22 to 0-15 - in the first game of today's semi-final double-header at Semple Stadium.
They enjoyed a 0-13 to 0-8 cushion at the halfway stage and Richie Ruth's 41st minute goal sent them on the road to victory.
The losing side's cause wasn't helped by a spurned Timmy Hammersley penalty in in the 49th minute.
Meanwhile, Joe Gallagher was Kiladangan's two goal hero in their 2-16 to 0-13 victory over Killenaule.
The winners were 1-9 to 0-8 to the good at the break and secured their final ticket with a composed second-half display.
