The Sunday Game pundit and former Westmeath footballer Dessie Dolan has to choose between his club and his work this weekend.

Dolan is set to be part of the RTE anchor team for Saturday's All-Ireland SFC final replay between Dublin and Mayo.

However, the Garrycastle clubman is also set to feature against St Loman's in the Westmeath SFC quarter-final on Saturday also.

The club match throws in at 2.30pm, while the All-Ireland final is at 5pm, meaning that Dolan looks set to have to make a choice.

Garrycastle chairman Michael Mannion has stated that they have contacted the county board in relation to changing the quarter-final.

"When the match against The Downs was over, we verbally requested for county board officials to consider changing the game and we then sent in a request by email," Mannion told the Westmeath Independent.

He added that the club are also in the Ladies football final on the same day, adding to their situation.

"We were hoping that the county board would be more flexible considering the service Dessie has given Westmeath football."

He concluded: "As things stand the likelihood is that Dessie won't be available for our game."
