Campbell departs Roscommon post

Justin Campbell.

Roscommon are on the lookout for a new senior hurling manager after Justin Campbell's decision not to seek another term in charge.

Campbell was appointed to the role after being ratified to succeed fellow Galway native Seamus Qualter at the end of 2013 and steered the Rossies to a Nicky Rackard Cup success last year after defeating Armagh by a single point at Croke Park.

The Kiltormer man also won a National League title along with a Connacht intermediate crown and led the county's hurlers to the All-Ireland U21 B final in 2014 in Thurles, where they lost out to Kildare.

A spokesperson for the county board thanked Campbell and his management team for their efforts last night and wished them the best of luck for the future.
