The spotlight in the Liberty Insurance Camogie Championships shifts to the Intermediate and Premier Junior grades this weekend with four counties seeking places in the respective All-Ireland finals, and Carlow's Marian Doyle knows what's at stake.

Carlow have made giant strides in recent years after a long time in the doldrums, helped no doubt by the back-to-back victories by Myshall in the All-Ireland Junior Club Championships in 2012 and 2013.

Doyle was a member of that successful side and starred as Carlow won the All-Ireland Junior A title last year.

They haven't looked out of place at a higher level and Doyle is anxious to keep the momentum going.

Most of all, she dreams of getting the opportunity to play at the headquarters of Gaelic games.

"Everybody wants to win an All-Ireland, be it with your club or with your county" says Doyle.

"To get the chance to play in Croke Park, that's the prize and that's what we're after this year.

"We've been in the dark ages not so long ago and possibly never thought we'd have the opportunity to get to Croke Park so it's in our own hands to get there. It would mean everything to get there.

"As a team, what we've been through the last few years and the effort we've put in recently, it would be a fantastic achievement.

"We have come on in leaps and bounds from where we were. There's a good vibe around the county and our supporters are building week-on-week, and we're bringing happiness and joy to them too. We need them on the big days.

"The county board have been excellent and we have a very good management team in place so as a unit, it's all going very well at the moment and long may it last."
