Kilkenny must improve if they are defeat Waterford in Saturday's All-Ireland SHC semi-final replay according to selector Michael Dempsey.

The Cats needed a late point from Conor Fogarty deep in injury time to salvage a draw against an exceptional Waterford side last Sunday.

Now the sides must do it all again in Semple Stadium (6.45pm) on Saturday evening and it has been a while since there has been so much hype surrounding a game of hurling.

However, Dempsey stressed to the Kilkenny People that unless they show a marked improvement then a confident Waterford side will make no mistake second time around.

"There is definitely more in Kilkenny, but we will have to find it. We wouldn't be happy with our performance," said Dempsey.

"It won't be easy Waterford will have gained a lot from the drawn game. Hopefully we will as well, but there is definitely more in Kilkenny.

"We will be looking for an improvement on Saturday, but it will be a serious challenge, a serious battle."
