Tipperary's quarter-final heroics against a fancied Galway outfit yesterday is recognised with seven representatives on our team of the week...

1. Evan Comerford (Tipperary)

The Kilsheelan-Kilcash clubman got his kick-outs spot on and helped put the Premier County on a forward footing at every available opportunity.

2. Keith Higgins (Mayo)

The versatile Higgins sent over a point against Westmeath but won't have been happy with their lack-lustre second-half showing.

3. Mark Griffin (Kerry)

A resolute performance from the Kerry full-back who afterwards admitted that the Kingdom have room for improvement ahead of their semi-final fixture.

4. Shane Enright (Kerry)

Enright & Co restricted the Banner County to just four points from play during the course of the 70 minutes.

5. Bill Maher (Tipperary)

Summed up Tipp's attacking philosophy with his frequent forays into enemy territory and helped create a number of scoring opportunities for his forward colleagues.

6. Robbie Kiely (Tipperary)

Similar to Maher, Kiely wasn't shy when it came to joining up with his attack and he kicked a sublime point in the 53rd minute.

7. Karl Lacey (Donegal)

Donegal will need to be firing on all cylinders when they take on Dublin this coming Saturday and Lacey's experience will be vital to their chances of causing an upset.

8. Peter Acheson (Tipperary)

The Tipp captain produced a tour de force around the middle third of the field and his finger prints were all over many of his team's best moments.

9. Donal Vaughan (Mayo)

The jury is very much out on the Mayo class of 2016 but Vaughan & Co will be hoping to answer their critics against Tyrone on Saturday.

10. Kevin O'Halloran (Tipperary)

Finished with four points (two from play) to his name and was full of industry from start to finish.

11. Darran O'Sullivan (Kerry)

O'Sullivan's 51st minute goal was the highlight of a dull encounter and he also finished with two points beside his name.

12. Ryan McHugh (Donegal)

The Kilcar dynamo is a bundle of energy and contributed the latest in a long list of top drawer performances which yielded three points.

13. Paddy McBrearty (Donegal)

After the final whistle on Saturday, Cork manager Peadar Healy conceded that they couldn't cope with McBrearty who found the target with 11 of his 12 scoring attempts.

14. Michael Quinlivan (Tipperary)

Another top of the range product from the well-oiled Tipperary underage conveyor belt, the number 14's 1-4 was a vital ingredient in their successful formula.

15. Conor Sweeney (Tipperary)

The gifted corner-forward will be a marked man when Tipp face the winners of Tyrone versus Mayo after his 2-2 individual haul.
