Tipperary manager Michael Ryan feels that there is still room for improvement in his side, despite their demolition of Waterford in the Munster SHC final.

Tipp's second half display which paved the way for a comfortable victory and 42nd Munster title has resulted in the Premier County being made joint-favourites for the All-Ireland title.

Ryan told the Tipperary Star that before they could be considered favourites they have to get to the next level and to do so, they need to improve in certain areas.

"We still have loads to work on," stressed Ryan. "You have to prepare, because day by day the standards go up and for us to get to an All-Ireland final and get through the next day, our standards will have to go up again.

"I felt that we managed our puck outs well - you cannot be too one dimensional particularly against a team like Waterford who are renowned for getting players behind the ball."
