Former Cavan minor football manager Danny Brady

Cavan minor manager Danny Brady has stepped down from his post after two seasons in charge.

The Mullahoran clubman steered the Breffni boys to an All-Ireland quarter-final appearance in 2015 before defeat to Armagh in May marked his last game in charge.

Cavan county board released the following statement on Thursday afternoon:

"Cavan GAA sincerely thank Danny, his assistant manager Larry Reilly (Knockbride) and the entire backroom team for their time and huge commitment in looking after our minors for the last two years.

"We are confident that all involved will continue to contribute greatly to Cavan GAA and we wish them well for the future."

Nominations forms for Brady's successor have been forwarded to the clubs with the deadline return set for 12 noon on July 22.
