The last two TG4 Senior Provincial Championship Finals take place this Sunday with the action switching to Munster and Leinster after provincial victories for Mayo and Monaghan last weekend.

TG4 Munster Senior Football Championship Final

Cork v Kerry,
Legion, Killarney
7:00pm (K. Delahunty)

This will be a titanic tussle in Killarney when these great rivals take to the field. Kerry have held the edge over Cork in Munster this year and they will be hoping to make it a second successive victory over the TG4 All Ireland Champions on Sunday.

Kerry had a reasonable Lidl National Football League campaign but it was a similar story when they faced their neighbours in the semi final as they fell to defeat.

However, form has been with the Kingdom since then as they scored a big win over Cork in the first round of the Munster championsip and followed that up with a strong winning performance against Waterford.

There is a lot of potential in this Kerry side who have welcomed the return of their key forward Louise Ní Muircheartaigh following an injury that saw her sidelined for most of their league campaign. Sarah Houlihan has hit top form again and looks capable of causing real problems for the Cork rearguard as does Laura Rogers who has finally shaken off a long term injury that saw her huge potential stifled early in her career.

At the back they will look to captain Aislinn Desmond to keep Cork at bay but she will be well supported by some excellent players like Caroline Kelly and Ciara Murphy.

Cork are never more impressive than when they have a point to prove and that was evident as they turned around their awful early league form to evetually claim the title.

Cork again have something to prove in Munster, they were roundly beaten by Kerry already this year and relinquished their Munster title to the same opposition 12 months ago.

This team will be motivated to produce a performance and that will be driven by some familiar faces in 10 time All Ireland winners Bríd Stack, Deirdre O'Reilly, Briege Corkery and Rena Buckley.

However, they do have to do without the services of long term injury victim, Geraldine O'Flynn. Orla Finn will again lead the attack where she will hope to maintain her excellent form from the Spring.

Ciara O'Sullivan is their captain and talisman and should she hit form this weekend it could be the difference between a second Kerry Munster title in a row or Cork's first since 2014.

TG4 Leinster Intermediate Football Championship Final

Kildare v Wexford
O'Moore Park, Portlaoise
2:00pm (N. McCormack)

Kildare are looking to reclaim the TG4 Leinster Intermediate Championship title that they won last year and will have an eye on going one further after reaching but eventually losing out in the TG4 All Ireland Final.

Wexford have steadily been progressing since they claimed the TG4 Junior All Ireland title in 2014 and this year were unlucky not to reach the Lidl NFL Division 3 Final.

Kildare will enter this match as favourites but they will need big performances from Aisling Holton and Stacey Cannon if they are going to defeat a Wexford side that look more than capable of upsetting the champions.

TG4 Leinster Senior Football Championship Final

Dublin v Westmeath
O'Moore Park, Portlaoise
4:00pm (C. McManus)

Dublin have been the dominant force in Leinster for most of the past decade as is demonstrated by the fact that they are hoping to earn their fifth TG4 Leinster Championship title in a row making them the longest reigning provincial champions in the country right now.

However, the team that has given them the most trouble and has pushed them the closest has been Westmeath.

Westmeath have been steadily improving for several years but they have fallen just short of reaching the elite level.

This year they reached the Lidl NFL Division 2 final but came up short against a rampant Donegal side. However, they will have taken plenty of consolation from the level of their performance throughout the season.

Westmeath have plenty of very good footballers in their ranks. Jenny Rogers and Fiona Claffey are defenders that would make any team in the country. Maud Anne Foley is an excellent midfielder and is vital from placed balls whilst Leona Archibold and Johanna Maher are also excellent performers.

If Westmeath can maintain their discipline throughout and avoid the yellow cards that have haunted them in the past they will be in with a big chance this weekend.

Dublin have again been superb throughout their campaign in Leinster, they have comprehensively won every game to date including a 17 point win over Westmeath.

However, Gregory McGonigle, will have his players well warned that this will be a different Westmeath team that they will face this weekend.

This Dublin side is littered with star players like Carla Rowe, Lyndsey Davey, Noelle Healy, Sinead Aherne, Sinead Finnegan, Olwen Carey and Sinead Goldrick.

They will have their sights set on a return to Croke Park for a third year in a row this September but they will need to overcome this dogged Westmeath side first.

Lyndsey Davey tends to be a key player for Dublin as she sets the tone for their performances and supplies much of the ball for their biggest scoring threat, Sinead Aherne. Siobhan Woods has overcome a hand injury that casued her to miss a lot of football this year and she will be available on Sunday to bolster an already strong squad.

Much is expected of this Dublin team this year and if they were to fail to add the Leinster title to their collection for a fifth year in a row it would be a big surprise.
