Brian Fenton thought it was a prank when Jim Gavin invited him into the Dublin squad at the start of 2015.

An amazing debut season culminated in the Raheny clubman being named Man of the Match in the All-Ireland final in September as the Dubs defeated Kerry to claim their third title in five years.

Nine months earlier, the All Star midfielder thought somebody was winding him up: "When Jim gave me the phone call I actually thought it was a prank phone call, to be honest," he tells The Irish Daily Star.

"I text around asking lads 'do you now this number?'.

"Every time I put on the jersey I'm living the dream, really. I'm like a child getting it on. But I have to put that to one side and perform. For me it's definitely the same buzz as last year, 100%."
