Laois footballer Gary Walsh has taken to social media to explain how he was dropped from the county panel following last Saturday's Leinster SFC exit.
In a statement posted on his Twitter account this evening, the Ballylinan clubman said that he had not left Mick Lillis' set-up. Instead he had been dropped via phone call after he missed 1 out of 150 training sessions.
Walsh scored the opening point and was subbed at half-time as Laois went down to holders Dublin on a 2-21 to 2-10 scoreline in their provincial quarter-final at Nowlan Park.
