SFC qualifier draw: Armagh travel to Laois

Laois take on Armagh with home advantage

The opening round draws for the All-Ireland senior football championship qualifiers have taken place this morning and thrown up some intriguing clashes later this month.

In Round 1a, Laois take on Armagh with home advantage after their loss to champions Dublin at the weekend and Carlow play Wicklow in an all-Leinster affair, while the losers of Louth and Meath in the same province will have to travel to Celtic Park to face Derry. The last fixture drawn in 1a sees Leitrm and Waterford battling it out in Carrick-on-Shannon.

Those four games are set to take place on the weekend of June 18th/19th.

In Round 1b, Eamonn Burns' Down side have been drawn at home to Longford, while fellow Ulster outfit Antrim will also play on home turf when they welcome Limerick to Corrigan Park.

The remaining two fixtures see the losers of Offaly and Westmeath, who square off this weekend in the Leinster SFC, play London and Wexford battle it out against the losers of Donegal and Fermanagh, who also clash on Sunday.

All four of those games take place on weekend of June 25th/26th and times, dates and venues will be confirmed by the CCCC later today.
