Kerry selector James McCarthy believes that their league win over Offaly will count for nothing when the sides clash in the Leinster SHC on Sunday.

The meeting at O'Connor Park, Tullamore will be a winner takes all clash as whoever comes out on top advances to the provincial quarterfinal along with Westmeath.

The Kingdom must plan without the injured Colum Harty and Mikey Boyle who is suspended and McCarthy told the Kerryman that they may need a different approach to this game.

"Offaly are a slightly different team to what we played the last time," stated McCarthy.

"They still have the two boys Bergin and Dooley, they're their two main men. If you mark those two you should have a good chance then, that we'd have the legs for them up front.

"So we might go for speed more than brawn this time, look you wouldn't know."
