After his 'man-of-the-match' heroics in Semple Stadium today, Tony Kelly defended Clare's style of play.

When asked about the criticism that was directed in both teams' direction following last weekend's drawn encounter, the Banner joint-captain told TG4's GAA BEO: "There was a lot made of it and ourselves and Waterford aren't going to apologise to anyone for the way we play.

"We play to our strengths and whether people like it or not, we're out here to win, we're not really here to entertain.

"We just want to win games and trophies. Whatever system, whatever plan does that, each team will buy in to.

"Out there today there was just a puck of the ball in it and I think it was an entertaining game, in comparison to last week anyway."
