Duffy in positive mood

Fermanagh joint-manager Sean Duffy is in a confident mood ahead of the start of the Nicky Rackard Cup this weekend.

The Erne County take on Monaghan at Brewster Park on Saturday at 3pm and they go into this campaign having secured the NHL 3B title only a few weeks ago.

Fermanagh may have lost out to Tyrone in the promotion/relegation play off, but Duffy stressed to the Fermanagh Herald that they were in a positive frame of mind heading into the third tier All-Ireland SHC.

"We have been putting up some big good scorelines, 1-19 for example against Tyrone. The panel has grown belief in itself. And winning the Lory Meagher last season is a big factor in this," said Duffy.

He added: "It (Nicky Rackard) has been a target, but there is no point in just targeting, we have to go out and perform and do the business on the day."
