Waterford and Clare are the two teams left standing in this year's HL Division 1 race, here's our hurling team of the week...

1. Stephen O'Keeffe (Waterford)

The Deise netminder will have to be on his toes when they line up against Clare in the decider at Thurles on Sunday week.

2. Oisin O'Brien (Clare)

Justified Davy Fitzgerald's faith in him when curbing Richie Hogan's influence.

3. Barry Coughlan (Waterford)

The number 3 enjoyed another fine outing against the Treaty County and more of the same will be required in the final.

4. Cian Dillon (Clare)

Up against the much-vaunted Kilkenny forward division, Dillon and his defensive colleagues gave as good as they got.

5. Brendan Bugler (Clare)

Went toe-to-toe with 'Hurler of the Year' TJ Reid on a day to remember for the Banner County.

6. Austin Gleeson (Waterford)

The all-action Mount Sion man is a joy to watch in full flow and launched many a Waterford attack from the half-back line.

7. Diarmaid Byrnes (Limerick)

The youngster was one of a few Limerick players who did themselves justice against the Deise.

8. Kevin Moran (Waterford)

Once again underlined his importance to his team when, along with Michael 'Brick' Walsh, using his experience to telling effect.

9. Lester Ryan (Kilkenny)

On a day when Kilkenny failed to fire, Ryan kept plugging away around the middle third of the field.

10. John Conlon (Clare)

Capitalised on some uncharacteristic sloppy defending by the Cats to net the Banner County's opening goal in the 16th minute.

11. Colm Galvin (Clare)

There was no shortage of star performers in a Clare jersey and chief amongst them was Galvin who shot five points from play.

12. Aaron Cunningham (Clare)

"We'll be giving it a lash, going for it" - after his 2-3 contribution against Kilkenny, Cunningham is relishing the prospect of squaring up to Waterford.

13. Patrick Curran (Waterford)

A second yellow card failed to diminish a top class performance from the Deise sharpshooter who registered an impressive 1-10.

14. Shane Bennett (Waterford)

Derek McGrath was understandably fulsome in his praise of the 19-year-old after his 1-3 heroics against the Treaty County.

15. Conor McGrath (Clare)

Finished as his side's joint top scorer with a return of 1-6, including 1-2 from open play.
