Leinster MFC: Dublin finish with 10 points to spare

April 16, 2016

Two second-half goals from Fionn Murray helped Dublin minors to victory in Enniscorthy

Second-half goals from Aaron Bradshaw and Sean Bugler (penalty) paved the way for Dublin to record a 2-14 to 1-7 Leinster MFC first round success over Offaly at Parnell Park today.

Playing with the wind in the opening period, Paddy Christie's charges hit four unanswered points to take an 0-8 to 0-3 lead into the break.

The second-half was only two minutes old when Bradshaw raised his side's first green flag but Micheal Mooney pulled a goal back for the Faithful County 10 minutes later.

The Padraig Murray managed outfit followed that up with two quick fire points through Conor Lynam and Shane O'Brien to reduce the deficit to five entering the final quarter but Bugler's converted spot kick seven minutes from time put a stop to their gallop.

The 10 point winning margin didn't flatter the winners as Offaly's Barry Rohan was by far the busier of the two goalkeepers and he was successful in saving one of two penalties awarded to the hosts.
