Clare have been handed a massive boost ahead of tomorrow week's Allianz Football League Division 3 final with the news that David Tubridy will be eligible to play.

The Doonbeg sharpshooter was red-carded following an incident involving Ciaran Fitzpatrick in the regulation round against the Lilywhites nearly two weeks ago, but his appeal against a one-match suspension has been successful, meaning he will be free to line out against Cian O'Neill's men at Croke Park.

Tubridy was accompanied to last night's Cental Hearings Committee meeting at GAA headquarters by Clare secretary Pat Fitzgerald.
