O'Neill: "we don't need anybody to be telling us what we are doing right or wrong"

Colm O'Neill says the Cork footballers know only too well that they need to work on their consistency

The Rebels' league form has been patchy, so it's appropriate that they go into the last round clash with Kerry this weekend with a semi-final place still up for grabs and relegation also still a possibility:

"We are going to have to look at a few games and try and pick up one or two things that might start something. It is only March," talismanic attacker O'Neill told The Irish Examiner.

"In fairness, we played good enough against Monaghan here the last day. We were good in spells against Down, we showed what we can do in five or ten-minute patches. It is just to get that over the course of a game, and over the course of a league and championship. That is our focus. We are big enough, we don't need anybody to be telling us what we are doing right or wrong.

"Division One is where Cork football wants to be. If results go our way, we might make the league semi-finals, which would be great preparation going forward to the championship."
