Late points from Tomas Corrigan and Declan McCusker earned 14-man Fermanagh a 0-15 apiece draw with Galway at Tuam Stadium.

The result means Galway travel to Breffni Park next weekend for a winner-takes-all promotion shoot-out with Cavan, while Fermanagh might avoid the drop even if they fail to take something from their Round Seven meeting with already-promoted Tyrone.

Having trailed by the odd point from 13 at the interval, Fermanagh had Niall Cassidy sent off six minutes after the restart, but, despite falling 0-10 to 0-7 behind, they hung in manfully and were full value for a share of the spoils.

Patrick Sweeney's point on the stroke of full time edged the hosts into a 0-15 to 0-13 lead after Corrigan (free) had cancelled out a Danny Cummins effort. Corrigan had earlier drawn the 14 men level at 0-12 each, as did Ryan Lyons moments earlier, only for Damien Comer and Gary Sice respectively to push the westerners back ahead.

This is Galway's third draw of the campaign but, as it happens, Sunday's clash with Cavan would still have been key even if they'd won all three of those!
