Ryan brings in Stakelum as Tipp selector

Conor Stakelum has joined the backroom team of the Tipperary hurlers.

The Premier County Board confirmed the news this afternoon in a statement:

"Tipperary Co. Board are delighted to announce the addition of Conor Stakelum from Borris Ileigh as selector to the Tipperary Senior Hurling panel.

"In linking up once again with former team mates Michael Ryan and John Madden, Conor brings a wealth of experience with him having tasted All Ireland success with Tipperary in 1991.

"He also won a senior club All Ireland medal with Borris Ileigh in 1987 and in recent times Conor has managed Borris Ileigh in the Tipperary senior club championship. He has also been involved at juvenile level with Durlas Óg in Thurles where he resides."
