Fermanagh sharpshooter Sean Quigley wouldn't turn his nose up at a McKenna Cup medal.

The Ernesiders are currently top of Section B with two wins from as many outings and will take on Donegal in Brewster Park tonight (8pm).

Speaking to The Irish News, the Roslea Shamrocks clubman said: "A lot of people look down on the McKenna Cup but when you're from the likes of Fermanagh that hasn't got much silverware - the last thing we won was the McKenna Cup in 1997 - you take whatever silverware you can get.

"It would be a lovely competition to win and it will get tougher as it goes along."

Quigley fired seven points in last Sunday's win over manager Pete McGrath's native county, Down.

"It's good to get a win at this stage of the season.

"We're building towards what is going to be a very tough League and to come down to Pairc Esler and win by six points is no bad feat.

"It's early in the season and we're looking forward to the year ahead. Hopefully we'll build on this because there are tougher tests ahead.

"Any time you beat Down in Newry you have to put in a very good performance.

"They were probably very understrength there but they're a Division One side and it's good preparation for us."
